Elias Hahn, RPC, MPCC-P

About Elias

Elias is a Registered Professional Counsellor who works with adults experiencing addiction, trauma, and grief and loss, as well as concerns such as anxiety, depression, shame, and low self esteem. His work is grounded in the belief that healing is supported through safety, consistency, and a respectful therapeutic relationship. He aims to provide a space where individuals can explore their experiences without judgment and at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.

His approach is informed by both professional training and lived experience. Early life stress, recovery from addiction, and experiences of grief and loss have shaped his understanding of how trauma and chronic stress affect the nervous system and influence patterns of thought, emotion, and behaviour. These experiences have also contributed to his interest in supporting others as they engage in their own healing and recovery processes. Trust, presence, and pacing are central elements of his therapeutic work.

Elias is commited to supporting individuals in developing greater self understanding, strengthening internal resources, and creating meaningful and sustainable change. He recognizes the impact of emotional distress and the importance of having one’s experiences met with care and respect. It is a privilege for him to support clients as they work toward improved emotional regulation, resilience, and a stronger sense of connection to themselves and others.

Approach to Care

Elias works with adults facing addiction, trauma, and grief and loss, as well as concerns such as anxiety, depression, shame, and low self esteem. He views therapy as a collaborative process and believes that meaningful change often begins when experiences can be openly explored within a safe and supportive environment.

A central focus of his work is helping clients develop awareness of their nervous system and understand how stress and trauma are reflected in the body. Through body based and mindfulness informed practices, sessions focus on supporting regulation, increasing emotional awareness, and restoring a sense of safety and balance. He also integrates approaches that support observation of thoughts and emotional responses, allowing individuals to relate to their internal experiences with greater clarity and flexibility.

In sessions, Elias draws from body based therapies, cognitive and behavioural strategies, narrative therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Interventions are tailored to each client’s needs and may include skill development, emotional processing, and exploration of patterns that influence self perception and relationships.

Elias holds the belief that therapeutic work progresses at the speed of trust. His role is to provide a steady and consistent presence while supporting clients in reconnecting with their strengths, expanding capacity for self understanding, and working toward lives that feel more stable, meaningful, and aligned with their values.
